Clean food for African homes.

In many open markets today, beans are stored with Sniper, plantain is ripened with carbide, and vegetables are sprayed days before sale. NAFDAC has warned these chemicals can cause serious illness, including cancer. Oko grows on our 24-acre farm and sells food you can check, pack by pack.

What is happening in the market
The Oko promise
Sniper (DDVP) is poured on stored beans and grains to keep weevils away.
No Sniper, ever. Our produce is stored clean, dry and cool.
Carbide is used to force plantain and fruit to ripen overnight.
No carbide. Our plantain ripens naturally.
Crops are sprayed close to harvest, so residue reaches your pot.
Natural methods first. Any spray is approved, recorded and given its full safe waiting time.
Nobody can tell you where the food came from or what touched it.
Every Oko pack has a QR code that shows its plot, dates and spray record.

Traceability

A record for every batch that nobody can quietly change.

Each batch gets a digital record from the day it is planted. When it leaves the farm, we seal that record with a fingerprint and save the fingerprint on a public blockchain. If anyone edits the record later, the fingerprint no longer matches, and the pack shows it.

Scanning an Oko Stew Base tin shows the batch journey on a phone
Step 1
Record at the farm

Planting date, plot, seed, every spray and its safe interval, logged on a phone in the field.

Step 2
Seal the batch

At harvest, the full record is turned into a unique fingerprint, like a seal on an envelope.

Step 3
Save it on a blockchain

The fingerprint is written to a public ledger with a timestamp. It cannot be changed or deleted.

Step 4
Scan the pack

The QR code on every crate or pouch opens the journey and checks it against the ledger.
